Chicago Reader

As a freelance comics journalist for the Chicago Reader, I’ve produced a number of feature stories with a focus on activism, local cultural events and the intersection between the two. More recently, I’ve partnered with the Newberry Library to cover their Chicago 1919 events, a series of community conversations examining the 1919 Chicago race riots and their lasting legacy in the city.

The Nib

In 2020, I published Collision Course, an in-depth feature examining the causes and potential solutions to the proliferation of vehicle-ramming attacks on Black Lives Matter protestors
